At Maxcy, we take our hall government very seriously. Today and friday we’re voting for such prestigious positions as President (wowwww), Vice President, and Senator. For the past week our wild candidates have hit the campaign trail (otherwise known as the hallway) to convince their compatriots that they’re right for the job. As a result, the USC life blog is releasing certain endorsements to encourage you to vote for the “right” person.
President: I can’t endorse a presidential candidate, their advertising was so bad that I wasn’t even sure who was running. Truly embarrassing for someone running for the highest position in the hallway…
Vice President: Courtney Marsh invested her retirement in ink to post pictures for her campaign all over the dorm. We also received a slip of paper under our door explaining why she’s the right person to back up the president. So I voted for her…
Treasurer: Uhhh…I voted for Ryan Benitez because I *think* he’s on my hall, but I’m not really sure. The other choices just didn’t ring a bell…Regardless, what exactly are they treasuring?
Secretary: Now here’s an obvious choice, Christian (or Chris) Buckson. Why? even though you’ve never seen a campaign flyer from him, he’s going to be the best secretary our hall government could ask for. Vote for Christian Buckson ‘08.
Senate: These are equally easy choices: Denise Burrow and Natalie Reeder. These two get the chance to represent us in front of the general congress (at least I think) and have inordinate amounts of influence (2/180 Maxcy vs. 2/600 Capstone or Patterson) So you want to make sure that they’re good choices.
So yes, go vote, and keep these recommendations in mind. hahahaha That’s the word from your resident political pundit.
